Glasgow Glenmore Club

Quiz - 1st February 2007

"History is written by the victors" they say, so here goes. After an absence of a year the infamous Glenmore Quiz made a welcome return to our new venue at the Hyndland Bowling Club. Club stalwarts Ant & Dec, sorry Harrold & Connie, were our quizmasters for the night, and boy, what hard taskmasters they were! We were led through an assortment of stunning mountain scenery, warbling bird songs and ancient Glenmore history before justice, fair play and just downright meant-to-be-ness led to a crushing victory for the Beinn Theredunit team of Donnelly, Webster and Farrow(Monica). Displaying our knowledge of what colour of underpants Mr. Munro wore on his 1st Munro, the number of stones in the average cairn, and Harrold’s favourite flavour of ice cream, we cruised to victory, spurred on by the thought of the bonus prize of Kendal mint cake that was on offer. Thanks to Harrold & Connie for their hard work and to all the other contestants. Next year we get to set the questions, yippee!!!
