DAY MEET TO ABERFOYLE
Sunday 9th January 2005
On a wet
windy Sunday morning a few intrepid walkers braved floods and high winds
to come to the day meet at Aberfoyle. The weather conditions were so bad
that a decision was made to seek the shelter of the forest and to stay
together in one large group of 13.
The group
wound its way through Loch Awe forest trail, which at least was dry
underfoot and well sheltered from the gale.
The group
comprised Kate and Alan Stewart, Brian McDaid, Bill McIntyre, Carol;ine
Thompson, Alan Stevens, Connie and Harrold Thompson, Dave Reynolds,
Ingrid Parker, Dave Foster David Harrison Alice Mitchell.
The walkers
had been invited for mulled wine after the walk at Tim and Roisin
Mason’s home. For those who partook of their hospitality, it certainly
meant a glowing end to the
day.
