Its not often that the club
engage the services of local guides in Scotland… but with new member
Steve (ably assisted by Kate) we had with us a expert who knew every
hill, glen, pub and distillery locally!
We had a cunning plan – and
ours (unlike Baldricks) actually worked. Most of us met at Blairlogie
and after much coffee and blethering we left three cars there and met up
with the body of the kirk in Tillicoultry for the proposed E-W traverse
back to the cars over Ben Cleuch and other tops.
The majority of the group
opted for the full monty with a smaller contingent making a beeline for
the excellent Woolsack pub in Tilly after Ben Cleuch. The original plan
of adding Dumyat at the end was defeated by rapidly approaching dusk.

Those who turned up enjoyed
an excellent day with good visibility, good craic and good beer
afterwards.
Thanks to Steve for his
excellent guidance.
Participants were:
