                                                 BEESOTTED

Where the bee sups there sup I

In my backyard they do fly!

Oh well sonnet form is obviously not my forte and Bees could really do with the Jilly Cooper or Harrold Robbins treatment, sex and violence or what!! I guess quite a few Glenmore men could fancy themselves in the roll of Drone – lots of lazing about in a pheromone induced trip with an eye (large and faceted- all the better to see you with my large virgin queen!!)to the main chance, not lifting a hand about the hive or offering to help with the kids either, while it has to be said, even in these “liberated” times I suspect most of Suzanne’s female audience empathised with the worker bees, the cleaners, nursemaids and homebuilders. For myself, I toyed with the roll of 1st Virgin Queen, piping my siren song, flying high and fast in a cloud of irresistible perfume, lots of sex and no commitment- in fact the ultimate brush-off, but on mature reflection (damn its no fun being middle aged) I decided to be a forager. You get to explore and you don’t have to learn how to use a GPS it just comes natural, and you can dance a waggle eightsome reel without Harrold shouting at you!

It was a fascinating talk and the honey is delicious.
