September 16th
2003
It’s a new
season for the Club at the Wellington Church and around forty members
turned up to hear Brian and John’s account of their summer trip to the
Stubai Alps in Austria.
This turned
out to be a reconnaissance trip for the Club holiday in July 2004 which
will return to the same area. This is a testament to the quality of the
slides, the recommendation of the huts, the lyrical impact of the
libretto and the enthusiasm of our pathfinders.
Their planned
trip was heavily amended due to John’s ongoing injury. However they
enjoyed their promenades and even appeared to visit the odd hostelry
when time allowed.
It was good
to start the season off with such an enjoyable in-house presentation.
