Mountain Bothies Association
What can one say about John Arnott's talk?
entertained at the Parthenon by John & Gill Maclean, Brian McDaid,
and John McPartlin, and then lots of slides of bothies, most of them
unknown to club members, including the first ever MBA one in Galloway.
One absolutely gorgeous one on the East coast of South Uist looking down
a wee sea loch directly towards the Rhum and Skye Cuillin was
particularly inspiring. The turnout by Glenmorons was disappointing; in
fact the smallest audience for an illustrated talk that I have
experienced in the club to date - perhaps competing with the football as
the hoops take on the might of Europe was asking a bit much; but lots of
club members missed an authoritative, erudite, and well illustrated
evening.
